git merge does not do anything with remote branch
On my server I have both local and remote branches. On my local I have some commits and the remote contains the same commits.
In my local repository I created a branch:
git checkout -b my-local-branch
Now I want to merge my local branch with the remote branch, but I do not see any changes in the remote branch. What can be wrong?
git remote show-branch
The output looks like this:
* remote
Fetch URL: git@github.com:my_username/my_repo.git
Push URL: git@github.com:my_username/my_repo.git
HEAD branch: master
Remote branches:
my-local-branch tracked
remotes/origin/my-local-branch tracked
remotes/upstream/my-local-
